Excursions & Downwinds
Explore the wild spots of the Diego Suarez region with your local guide.
The Emerald Sea
An unreal turquoise lagoon protected by a massive coral reef. The Emerald Sea is one of the most beautiful kitesurf spots in the Indian Ocean.
Located north of Sakalava Bay, this inland sea offers unique sailing conditions: flat water in the lagoon, waves on the reef, and a magical sunset on the way back.

Lunch on the Islet
Lunch break on a small desert island. Fresh seafood, rice, and tropical fruit. 360-degree view of the turquoise water.
Afternoon Session
Back on the water. Head out to the reef for those who want waves, or freeride in the lagoon for the others.

The Route

Photo Memories
The guide takes photos of your session to keep as a souvenir.
What Our Adventurers Say
"The Emerald Sea is another world. Swimming in these turquoise waters with the kite, then having lunch on a deserted island... that is exactly why people come to Madagascar. Samb knows every secret passage between the reefs."
About Excursions
For the Emerald Sea, an intermediate level (IKO 2-3) is enough — the lagoon is flat and sheltered. For the Downwind of the Bays, IKO Level 3 is required: you must be independent and able to upwind.
You can bring your own equipment or rent on site. The prices shown are for kiters bringing their own gear. If you need a rental, contact us for a quote.
Safety is our priority. If conditions are not favorable (storm, wind too light or too strong), the trip is postponed or refunded. We decide together on the morning of the trip.
We limit groups to 4-6 kiters maximum to guarantee a personalized experience and optimal safety. The guide is with you on the water during the entire session.
